We are mnNOG (Mongolian Network Operator’s Group), a non-profit, community-based initiative. mnNOG is a group of technical professionals joined together to serve the local community to provide technical discussion forums and educational opportunities.
Through annual meetings and learning activities, we aim to encourage human networking to promote collaboration among network and data operators and exchange of best operational practices.
We are pleased to announce that on the week of Monday 16th September 2019, our first ever event will be held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. The format for mnNOG1 is one day conference followed by four days of technical training workshops.
Call for paper for mnNOG1 conference is already open and we ask participation from international and local presenters on a wide range of Internet-related topics such as IPv4/IPv6 routing and operation, Internet backbone operations, ISP and Carrier services, IXP and Peering, SDN, NFV, Network security issues (NSP-SEC, DDos, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware), DNS/DNSSEC, Access and Transport technologies including Cable/DSL, LTE/5G, wireless, metro Ethernet, fibre, segment routing and, Content & Service delivery and Cloud computing.
We surveyed the community to determine the workshop topics and agreed on three tracks (Network management and monitoring, Network security and Advanced routing with RPKI). These workshops will be the most beneficial to core network personnel who design and operate part of the global internet.
We, mnNOG, would like to invite you to mnNOG1 and solicit your support and partnership in this memorable event.
mnNOG1 will be a major event in Mongolia to gather participants from various stakeholders in the industry including network and mobile operators, content developers, academia and regulatory people.
We believe it will bring worthful opportunities to vendors and companies to engage with our influential audience and promote their business activities and to contribute the Internet development from the root at the local community level.
We hope your support for this community initiative and looking forward to a long-term collaboration to improve network operations in Mongolia.
